good day everyone!
its 2011! we've been out of high school for so long already. we're all in a different place in our lives now. first of all! HAPPY NEW YEAR! even though it has been 23 days into the year.
2011 holds so much promises for me. i clearly remember the feeling i had standing in KLIA the day of my departure to the US in 2007. it was like i could do anything!
i finally got to see the family after bout 3 years. which is just incredible. we went to disneyworld and miami and they were in Los angeles! new york was cancelled cause of the snow storm! pfft!
and now that im graduated, i feel the exact same way, except im stil waiting on my visa to be approved so that i can start work. and to say that it has been frustrating is an understatement!
but anyways, here's to another year of our friendship. im taking an 8 hour road trip to visit ben and ruth this friday. the lil girl is turning 21 this year... geez we're getting old! but it should be a great time!
im hoping to do loads of travellign this year, in the summer i'll be heading to eastern europe to go to macedonia, croatia then to turkey ;) :). i've applied for jobs in california and florida and am now just waiting to hear back from my visa before i decide on a place. and finally im looking at travelling back home to malaysia for a month in december through mid of january.
well i have to run now. there is an american football match going on between the chicago bears and green bay packers and my allegiance to the packers is a default by being in Wisconsin- home of the packers. i dont really watch football but theres agroup of my friends who are going to gather to watch it and any excuse to take my mind off studying for the law school exam is appreciated :)

Hey guys...once again i miss u guys so much..

Just a quick hello and short update from Melbourne. Been really busy juggling work, uni and more work. Anyhoos, finishing uni in a week time, just had my 1st paper and 2 more to go then I'm free...for life.

As I remember we took an oath together few yrs back to attend each BMC graduation. I guess that's not happening eh?

As you might have heard, I won an ipad for my exclusive work at Burberry. I've also rejected a job opportunity to Hong Kong as I love this country too much. And oh, I also applied as a contestant in Masterchef Australia to cook my ass off :)

Meanwhile, not much on my love life so don't bother asking.

And although we're all miles apart,
I cant wait for us to reunite in the near future.. soon i tell myself.

In the meantime, i ran into a freaking fire extinguisher box in the library not too long before im typing this. i got out of my seat and was reading a text on my phone when BAM i ran into the metallic box.. the girl sitting there burst out laughing. i laughed too. but GOSH SOOOOOOOOOO EMBARASSSINGGGGGGGGGGGG!! i stayed outside for 20 minutes talking to a friend and have now relocated within the library.

Im about a month and a half away from graduation! holy freaking crap! aww i wish i could see you all at my graduation. that would be a sweet ass gift!

There's been to many deaths that has been happening here lately. just last week a friend committed suicide by putting a gun to his head. People give up too easily. So i swear if any of you contemplate suicide. I am going to personally whoop your ass! :)

guys this feels weird. this feeling of knowing youre so close to another stage of your life. big changes has happened to each one of us these past four years. new scene, new acquaintances, basically a new life and with all changes, we learn to adapt. first the awkward observation, where everything stands out in such great contrast.. and then with time, comes a feeling of belonging. when you claim a place to be yours. even if its just a driveway- the street you live on. seeing it everyday, the changing of seasons from winter to fall, and then once youve seen it all- it sorta just disappears into the background. then knowing you'll be leaving a place for good to move on kinda makes all the old..new again. you start to take notice again thinking it would be your last glance, last memory you'll capture of a place as you try to piece each picture with a nostalgic memory that you can look back and reminisce on.

fast forward a few months. youre in a new place again. feeling the inevitable strangers vibe. youre taken out of your element and living on your own now. the rent is due, the car needs gas, work is caling at 8 in the morning every day. you come home ..and maybe now you own a dog. an added responsibility. some people have never learned to live by themselves. there's something rather precious about feeling the loneliness of being by yourself with no one around. you learn to appreciate the silence and to live in it. i've always felt silence is good for reflection and growth. wont you agree?

years go by and now youre back at where you were initially, paying a visit to old friends. the place has changed, maybe more buildings have been erected. your friends theyve changed too. they wrinkle and may now already have kids of their own. you find some of them might turn out to like people of the same sex. some of your friends are now rich, some poorer than when they were in college. the diversity within us. the strangers feel resurfaces. and it happens again within the next few hours of talking. from strangers the unknown become known, now you feel like family again. you build upon past memory, you build new memories. you own this memories that now belong to you.

and so you see where im getting at, this need to belong, to make something your own. i guess this quasi-dramatic post is to remind myself and if at all, the BMC readers that we shouldnt fear change because its only a matter of time before it all will make sense and like good wine, good friendships improve better with age. shall i compare thee to a glass of wine?

im ready to move on to wherever the future takes me.

hey BMC-ers. so the other week i was kinda thinking to myself...hmm new school year, new friends, new image maybe?
it seems every summer, ive been gettin a new piercing. 2 years ago it was my eyebrow, last year it was my lips and a week ago, i went into the tattoo/piercing parlor and proceeded to get a new piercing.

yup a tongoue piercing!! i went in got it done, then my tongue swelled so much. i couldnt eat anything these past few days! only soup! on top of that my wisdom teeth is growing and i cant open my mouth at all!
thankfully after a week, the swelling has gone down and the pain from my wisdom teeth has gone after numerous painkillers!. i also do not sound like a retard anymore everytime i speak.
verdict : i like it!!

it has been a weekend of partying~
21st bday party was awesome. had too many people come. black and white party. at the stroke of midnight, we went to the bars to use my real ID and partied even more!
and i did not get drunk or have a hangover. which is GREAT!
on my birthday, spent about 100 over dollars on my bday lunch and dinner at super posh restaurants. ordered food and wine. it was SPECTACULAR. at night partied aGAIN! and too many free bday shots and loss of memory later. i woke up this morning with a slight hangover!
and have FUN, i did... according to other ppl.

hey guys so its been a while and just thought i'd update you on whats going on with me.
two weeks ago i fell seriously ill, woke up that thursday and my condition just aggravated throughout the day. wont go into too much details here, in short i puked and coughed blood, had the most severe sore throat, had a temperature of 103 F and a whole bunch of other crap. i had strep and influenza type B and as a result of that had to miss all my midterms.see im taking 18 credits and thats the max load and now i have to make time this coming week to sit for 5 different exams. i also have 4 assingments and a paper due. plus 4 out of 5 of my classes requires me to write a 13-15 page research paper!
i am going to die.

this past week was spring break and i spent most of it being here in eau claire. didnt do much, was so freaking excited to wait for the arrival of my new phone. the HTC touch pro that had cost me 560 US dollars. it came on the tuesday..... i woke up thursday morning in my neighbours couch not remembering the night before and on top of that not having my phone with me..and my wallet was empty... FML= FUCK MY LIFE.

this coming week. i have an ASIAN AMERICAN CULTURAL EXTRAVAGANZA that im puttin on together with 2 other organizations and we still haven finalized budgets/fundings/performances/food pricing and advertisements. the event is on THURSDAY! KILL ME!~

THEN as the vice prez of two to tango, were holding our biggest annual fundraiser. the viennese ball workshop. and the vp is in charge of all the planning and shit. the event is two weeks away and tru out this week all the advertising and poster hanging and setting up of booths needs to be done. GOD HELP ME!

in short guys. i have been having an insanely,pain staking, ass hurting couple of weeks and its not looking any better.... :(

on a happier note; im turning 21 this coming saturday!

anyways the point of my story is..........................
DAVID COOK! the AMERICAN IDOL WINNER FROM LAST SEASON!
CAME TO EAU CLAIRE AND HAD A CONCERT LAST NITE!!

i scored some last minute tix and got two more tickets for my french friends~
the concert started at 8.30 and they waited since 2...so we were pretty much standing at the front of the stage!!

ryan starr was the opening act for david cook! when i heard his name i was like hmmmmm... so familiar this name. then when he came out, i realized he was the guy from ROCKSTAR!
and his singing was simply AMAZING!! i must say i thought it was better than DAVID cook's!!
and haha.. he is very the good looking!

so the girl that ive started developin 'gulp' feelings for.. she faints during the concert.. but i caught her and like a knight in shining armour.. i swept her off her feet and carried her in my arms away from the crowd.. must say it felt pretty darn awesome!! haha... im such a dork!

so after the concert we hung around and chatted with ryan star and his band..they were all pretty drugged up or something haha.. but they were crazy fun to talk to! we brought one of the band guys on a tour inside the building.. haha and he followed us.. his crew had to come look for him afterwards.. hahahaha..i thought that was pretty funny!

and sadly david cook did not come out to meet his fans.. but thankfully.. i have been backstage before..and know the way that leads to the back of the building from the stage.. and so we were walking there and true enough.. out comes david cook.. but they didnt let us go see him.. so we snuck out back and went to the front of the tour bus.. there were like 9 of us out there.. and we waited for about 10 minutes.. just when we were about to leave... david cook comes out!! haha..
wooo hoooo.. way to go for not giving up!!! but he was such a nice guy!! haha we were out there talkin for about 30 minutes.. and he signed stuff and took pictures.. and i told him to go to malaysia! and it was coooooldddddddddd!!! haha..
but it was worth it..
my american idol dream came true!! first celebrity in the US of A!!! how appropriate!

I've submitted photographs for assignment #55 Photograph a significant outfit. I was particularly interested in this assignment as I had fun reading it and was pretty darn easy to complete. So there you go...

The story?? It has got to be one of the most memorable night we I had and I have photo to boot. Prom 04. Ironically enough this is the only outfit that I can put together from head to toe as most of my clothes are a few thousand miles away in a far away land of kangaroos Melbourne. And no matter how ridiculous we look, this is still one of my fav photo ever.

Now for those of you in the States, meet my new bitch Betty. And no it wasn't named after somebody's mom on purpose. And no I did not just call her a bitch...

And yes Mimi is still going strong and fat.. I had to photoshop her. LOL

tat was not the worst part.. the worst part was, i had food poisoning on the 1st day of CNY..

when everyone is having fun n good food back home.. i got to be so suey, lonely, and homesick.. arghhh!!!! its so unfair...

besides, my washing machine mati, my oven masuk hospital, and my water filter is having diarrhea.. the articulator tat i need for my patient got stolen or lost, watever u called it..
and i hav to go all the way to buy a new one.. n it so happen tat every shop is out of stock..
n finally when i got my articulator from the 4th shop.. i cant articulate the fucking cast on my articulator.. n after tryong for like the 5th time it stil cant stick on it.. n by tat time, my hand was full of blisters... n its freaky pain i mind u..
then the next day.. i couldnt wake up for my morning class... so i missed my 1st class..
n then i realized i din bring my purse when i was on the auto.. then i got to ask the man to drop me n then i got to walk all the way back home.. n by the time i reach home n take my purse i was damn late for my 2nd class.. hence i missed another class...
in the same afternoon.. i realized i din bring my hse key when i went for my posting.. n i was locked outside.. becoz my hse is tat type of auto locked one.. damn...
n then i got to sneak out from my posting to get my key from the maid.. n i was so panic.. becoz i couldnt reach her... she was no where.. not in other ppl hse.. (my classmates n i use the same maid.)
so everythin is a mess.. so basically i m so fucked up...

n exam is around the corner... n i m so stressed.. i cant sleep every nite.. now i really noe why dentist hav the highest suicide rate ... haiz~~~ dont worry.. i m not going to mati so soon.. lol..

so our trip that me ben ruth and stephenson went on took us to the twin cities of minneapolis/st paul first. we met up at the hotel..motel 8. if u guys ever come across this miserable motel. jusst drive on ahead. haha.. and so i saw them after almost 2 years!~

we went to a gay club where there was a drag show and a guy dancing around almost naked except for a schlong sock haha..his bruder floppin around everywhere much to our amusement.! hahaha.. and then the bathroom.. omg.. there was another room at the back of it..and they were showing gay porn..and there was a guy in there prolly jerkin off.. lol and ruth is called in by us to check it out..right when that guy decides to walk out.. lmfao~~

and then we went to a strip bar the next day. i got motorboat-ed !! hahaha go google it to know what it is for all you lil kids. information is at our fingertips nowadays. it was loads of fun!! hahaha... it was soft and very perfumy~~ hahaha.. oh i should emphasize that ben is not a pervert so he decides not to come with and so he stayed home and wanked to porn. but anyhoos me and steph bought ruth a lap dance by this girl called summer.. who wanted ruths scarf but didnt get it cause ruth didnt give it to her.

whilst we were shopping we parked in a towing zone and came back to a missing car.that was an adventure on its own. definitely fun! haha. we met up with bens friends and some of my friends and had a pretty awesome time down in the cities..

and then we were off to wasau a neighbouring city here in wisconsin. and we went snowboardin. our hotel here was pretty fly. camwhored as usual. how did u expect us to miss that. snowboarding is sooooooooooo much fun!! holy cow..its like a drug. the more u fall the more u wanna get up and try again. me ruth and steph snowboarded for about 5 hours while ben did more. each of us msust have rolled around, guling-ed, twisted in some way or another, lost a board that spurred a search team, shat our pants.. hahaha lets say this is an inside joke! hahahaha
but snowboarding was the SHIT! untill the very next day!
its something you have to experience to really know. every part of my body hurt like hell!!

new years wass spent at a bar. a mexican bar. it was funny . we barely made it and after the countdown got carded. lol~
after all is done we came back to eau claire and this one host mum brought us out on an Amish tour which i expected to be much cooler! but it turned out to be this really long long long car ride and by the time we got backk to eau claire it was already dark and i couldnt show them around, hence the impression that eau claire is a small lil kampung stays with them as they left my place. and farewell it is again~ till another day in the not so distant future~

Hi, how are you? I hope this time of year finds you well.

As I reflect upon the past year, I feel saddened by the fact that I rarely felt the urge to wander into the lifes of my normal bunch of crazy, hyper group of friends.This past year… it just wasn't the same. I know some of it was me, but I can't help but feel that some of it was you too. Looking at this, I guess you have been keeping busy; it just seems like we've been growing apart in what we are looking for (I hope the words on paper don't hide the fact that I have a tear in my eye as I pen this). It would make me really happy if we could bring back some of the old spark that used to be so strong. I really miss you guys and will always be. Take Care!!

life as a student here in america has opened my eyes to so much prejudice and acceptance, diversity and ignorance. my job and university involvement has to do a lot with spreading diversity and getting people to look beyond appearances. its not forcing people to be accepting, its educating people of the differences all around us. i was youtube-ing and found this two part malaysian documentary called 'she's my son'. i thought it was spectacularly shot and wanted to share it with you guys. some scenes were shot in klang and there's the big market there as well.

Dear diary,

i m very excited becoz we are going to Guang Zhou this coming dec..
so i cant really sleep at nite when i m excited..
so when i cant sleep i started thinkin all the wu liau stuffs.. lol..
eg, aiya i m so fat edi.. should kiam pui liau.. if not later cannot wear all the clothes. n then mai wasted lor.. then i mai cannot really shop lor.. etc etc..

then since cannot sleep edi.. mai google n see got any easy loss weight technique.. not exercise la ofcoz.. i so lazy..
then mai see how to eat until slim slim lor...

n then hor.. finally i found somethin very gam me this kind of lazy ass..

breakfast, lunch , dinner- banana ( not more than 2kg perday) or other fruits, 1 boiled egg and drink lots of water.

n they somemore say one day sure loss 1 kg one..

so i mai started yesterday lor..

So yeah u guys must be thinking why in the world i posted all this juice advertisement which is irrelevant to ur life and not even funny at all...Oh well these are a few of my design for an ad campaign called Emma and Tom's, a local premium juice company blah blah blah won't get in too much bout the campaign cos dats not the main discussion of this entry...

Thinking dat dis was just a regular assignment, i presented it to my class yesterday and at the end of the class my lecturer announced that my team was selected together with 4 other teams to join the L'oreal Brandstorm 2009 competition...and all my team members were all screaming in joy and people were congratulating us and i was just sitting there not knowing wat was happening for i haven't been attending many lectures and tutes.

Later, I went on to find out that this was something really huge as the winner of the national level of this competition get the chance to travel to Paris for 4 months next yr for the international level to win the grand prize of 10,00 pounds and we will get the opportunity to meet with all the big shots and socialites of L'oreal and the marketing industry. At that point it really hit me that this is something really big, and my uni have won the past 4 yrs of this competition and now i'm in it...Holy Cow!!

And today I attended the conference by L'oreal and i once again realise that i actually beat out 30 other teams in my uni to get to this point. And we will have half a yr to plan our next marketing plan for Maybelline the cosmetics giant. And if we made the national finals we will get an internship opportunity with L'oreal and Mc Cann worldwide (apparently a very big marketing communications company). The best part is that i'm in a competition similiar to 'The Apprentice' where our ideas will be realised by Mc Cann which mean we actually have people working for us. we will be getting opportunity to work with L'oreal executives and we will be trained to be a working marketers. I know SIAO!!! can it get any better than this?? It is really really BIG go google...

I'm a lil overwhelm with all these opportunities thrown at me all at once...SP tilik nasib guys is correct and finally I MADE MY MOM PROUD!! sobz..

Finally after months of hearing other people talk about this musical WICKED and how much they loved it....I finally got to see it...and everything I've heard about it was kinda true! I've always been a fan of the movie The Wizard of Oz, ever since i participated in a school play in what?? standard 5?? so this new spin or should i say backstory to the characters was a very interesting and entertaining concept. It was the kind of storytelling that got my attention and holds on to it to the very end. I have to admit the story was a wee bit erm draggy if you know what i mean. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the music and acting, and thought the cast was amazing! The costumes and set design was also eye-catching and stayed true to the feel and mood of the original movie..

there's a reason why everybody is unique in their own way. i mean the 'he' who sits up there gave everybody their own little thing; a birth defect, perfect teeth, a kind heart, you know something that distinguishes one from another.
a friend of the family came by the other day to exorcise the house. i call it the exorcism of casa de RAJ.. he felt a strangely unsettling feeling and decided one day that the house has been cursed and proceeded with the 'ceremony' if i may.
he is unique in that he has the ' third eye'. a gift from god. truly utterly amazingly hilarious.he went around the house chanting UGA-shaka-Uga-shaka-UGA-UGA using a cane and repeatedly hammered the floor with it. okay thats not true as well. he did however get into a trance and started speaking with this really funny voice, like he's had too much weed and later on found a paper wrapping. in it a rotten something stabbed with 3 needles and after watching them sniff it for a while they concluded that its from the cemetery and is taken off a dead fetus.
anyways long story short, he rid the house of the curse and then shook out of his trance..
oh and oooh u gotta hear this.. so he points at me.. and so i walk up to him.. then he asks me if im in love to which i impulsively say no. then he said.... you will fall in love real soon and he told me to follow what my heart desires and not let anyone to influence me otherwise.. omg now he's a love-guru as well.
so anyway thats just an interesting story to back this post up. the reason i say everybody is unique is in the very next thing im going to show you. a revelation that god might've been high with this one.
i try again and again to decipher his true intentions but i cant tell if he is laughing or crying.

fellow BMC-er suat puoi has left to india last night.
hope you had a safe flight back sp.
if you all didnt know, our loud mouthed sp has changed. she isnt as feisty and ferocious as she once was. yes dear friends, her flames have subsided. and in the change that we see in her, love has blossomed, for within two hearts lay one simple wish - to be loved. and thus the coming together of mr chin and miss puoi.

but i dont wanna dig deeper into their heart ache over parting so im going to move on to update you all on whats been happening. lots of late night chilling much to the annoyance of suat puoi's mum! haha..
we danced a lot too.. cha cha cha-ed and salsa-ed and clubb-ed...and camwhored to the max.

its farewells here and there. lots of goodbye parties..and finals too.. one week left to the closing of my 1st chapter here in eau claire.
yesterday one of the host mum, marcel who has held so many parties and events for the international students had her last international party and she was real emotional bout it.
then later on went to bibi's see you later party. and come midnite, it was the bars for some dancing and drinks. oh man the dance floor was packed as hell,,people kept grabbing my butt. and well it was fun fun fun..

i just quiffed!

if u just said that..it means that you just vaginally farted!! i just found that out while on my two to tango( which i shall hereafter refer to as T3) roadtrip.

you know, i was at a dancework performance in my university, and it was all the interpretive dancing, ballet, hip hop whatever not jazz last friday and it was extremely cool! i dont know why i thought of raymond in those tighty whities, spandex pants prancing around to some classical music!

friday night i went to this awkward dance party, haha everybody was dressed awkwardly and dancing awkwardly at the university's dance club(Higherground). it was really REALLY FUN!

saturday, i was really excited!! it was the trip to Madison!
and i guess whom i met?????

yessss!! i met STEPHANIE LAM!!

spent half a day just chillin with her, saw her apartment ,had an AMAZING lunch at this Irish bar, saw her campus. OMFG la universidad es muy grande! HUGEEEEEEeeeeeeeeee! had coffee, ice cream, walked some more, chilled..talked bout all the ex classmates.... [ we gossiped bout every single on of you- sp: too flat, ray : too hiau, gary :.....im kiddin)
it was really really nice to meet up with her though. i also stole some indo meee from her!! ooh heavenly
at the end of the day, a large part of me was saddened to leave, but well life moves on and in 20 sum days i'll be back home!!!

elections are done and over with and im sad. my candidate of choice lost by 21 votes. but i hope they file for grievance agaisnt the other team because they breached voting rules by sending mails through some official school list. polls closed at midnight and we only heard the results at 1 in the morning!
